The neat little contraption below helps us get the projection angles just right. This is what we do on Teesside – invention, innovation and graft.

Screen Test

Today we tested the projection  angles again.Yesterday was a bit off. With some height and angle adjustments it’s looking better now. The tower at Loftus Town Hall is an Octagon but sadly the hall is not that geometrical shape so we must cut our cloth etc ……

Down’t Pit (again)

John and I prepared the understage area and Susan took this snap. We both commented that this felt a little like our industrial backgrounds.

Tower Goes Up – Comes Down – Goes Up

Build testing at Loftus Town Hall. The plans of an oh so easy tower construction went off beam. We have video evidence but we need to “time lapse” it before sharing lest it become akin to watching paint dry.

We Built This City

The central tower is being built in a hangar shed at Skinningrove Mine. A small step but we’re bringing production and enterprise back to this location.

First Screen

In our second day at Loftus Town Hall we build completely the Octorama shell and hung one screen. We ironed out some kinks and made some adjustments. We had to go to the wonderfully “open all hours” style hardware shop for a pair of scissors. At the end of the day we dismantled the structure in just 40 mins and packed at the back of the stage (final picture in the set). Click on any picture to enlarge.

Construction Day

Today we built the skeleton of the installation (click image to enlarge)

Audio Engine

Town Hall staff, participants and councilors enjoy a preview of the Octorama audio engine.
